The upper part of the diaphragm is protected by a special nonwoven polymer fiber fabric, allowing application without compromising the bitumen spreading and truly accentuating its perfect penetration. The underside is covered with a molten thermoplastic film.

These tensile forces are lower than the tensile strength of the material, but the cyclical nature of the stress causes the tensile strength to decrease and causes very small and increasingly large cracks.
